WOMAN: In the beginning, I was really kind of shy with the technology part because I didn't feel like I knew enough of it, but as the time went on and I was able to hook him up and get him going and seeing the excitement when he was able to type, and it helped me to get excited and, you know, relax a lot.
MAN: Everyone tends to be afraid of what they do not understand. My advice would be, educate yourself, find out about the technology, don't — don't run from it.
WOMAN: The best place for resources, as far as assistive technology, is really on the Internet, and you can type in "assistive technology" and do a search, or you can look at your school system Web site and find your assistive technology team from there.
MAN: Teachers should not be afraid of technology. Teachers should be groundbreakers, the people that are willing to go the extra mile.
WOMAN: One of the most basic barriers for assistive technology is just people's attitude, and I think if people have an attitude where they're willing to learn, um, they're willing to be open to new ideas and new ways of doing things, that most of the other barriers can be overcome.
MAN: Technology — I can't — I don't believe in it.
WOMAN: Ha ha ha!
