Eric Morrison, M.A. is Lead Faculty for Disabled Student Resources at Pima Community College, one of the largest multi-campus systems in the country. He has not only established the assistive technology infrastructure for all Pima campuses, he has developed nearly one million dollars in grants and initiatives for technology, training, and staffing in support of services to persons with disabilities along with extensive policy and procedures.
Eric is currently on a sabbatical researching human-technology interface from an Activity Theory perspective. He is interested in how technology designer perceptions and processes result in technological artifacts that have embedded cultural values and constructs. He is also interested in the 'in situ' interactions that handlers, or users, with disabilities have with those artifacts.
Eric is the higher education representative to the Arizona Transition Leadership Team (a national effort seeking to improve outcomes for youth with disabilities). He has also served two terms as President of the Arizona Chapter of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD). He has presented and published on trends in the disability services field, legal issues, diagnostics, and assistive technology.
