National Association for the Education of Young Children Seeks Input on Technology Statement
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) will be accepting comments for the Technology and Young Children–Ages 3 through 8 position statement through July 16, 2010. The Technology and Young Children position statement addresses access to technology, discusses the uses and developmentally appropriate integration of technology in the classroom, and identifies the role of teachers in introducing technology use in the classroom, and access to technology. NAEYC encourages anyone who has an interest in the well-being and education of young children and technology use to share their ideas about how the uses of technology have changed in a classroom setting since 1996,concerns about the uses of technology in the classroom, examples of what has been effective in your classroom setting, and concepts that should be addressed in the revision.
