WestEd’s SchoolsMovingUp Presents Free Webinar
WestEd’s SchoolsMovingUp website will feature a free webinar, “Engaging Diverse Learners in Group Instruction Utilizing Interactive Whiteboards,” on Wednesday, May 27, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time (1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time). Kathleen H. McClaskey, President of EdTech Associates, Inc., and Randy J. Welch, Chief Program Officer, Spaulding Youth Center, will discuss how interactive whiteboards have revolutionized how teachers engage and teach diverse learners in group instruction at a special education school in New Hampshire. Video vignettes will illustrate how instructional practices have changed the paradigm of a classroom for diverse learners and present both the expected and unanticipated resultant student outcomes.
