CEC 2008 Convention & Expo

Join CEC in Boston, Massachusetts for its 2008 Convention & Expo. Response to Intervention Autism Spectrum Disorder Preparing Students for transitin Effective strategies to teach content The newest resources for students with disabilities and/or gifts and MUCH more! Also, explore topics in depth at CEC’s preconvention workshops, delve into specific topics by participating in one or more of the strands, and take advantage of the many networking opportunities! CEC’s keynote speaker will be Henry Winkler! Many of you may remember him as “The Fonz” from the “Happy Days” television show; however, Henry is an accomplished author who has written a series of children’s novels with his co-author, Lin Oliver. The series, entitled “Hank Zipzer: The World’s Most Amazing Under-Achiever,” was inspired by the personal challenges Winkler experienced due to his learning challenges. Henry is also a committed advocate for children as evidenced by his work with organizations such as Epilepsy Foundation of America, Toys for Tots, Special Olympics, and the National Committee for Arts for the Disabled.
