NASDSE’s New Project Forum Policy Forum
Project Forum has recently published Financial Responsibility for Students with Disabilities: A Special Case by Chandra Keller-Allen, Ed.D. This document can be found at the Project Forum web site here. Project Forum’s aim is to facilitate improved services to children and youth with disabilities by gathering and sharing information that supports changes to policy and practice at the national, state, and local levels.

Notice of Proposed Changes to Part B SPP and APR
The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) posted proposed changes to the Part B State Performance Plan (SPP) and Annual Performance Report (APR) in the Federal Register on October 22, 2008. Comments must be received by November 21, 2008. Copies of the information collection package are also available.

IES Practice Guide: Dropout Prevention
The What Works Clearinghouse of the Institute on Education Sciences (IES), U.S. Department of Education has recently published the IES Practice Guide: Dropout Prevention. This document includes an overview of dropout prevention as well as six specific recommendations pertaining to dropout prevention.
