Federal Tech Transfer: The Hearing Pillâ„¢

The Hearing Pillâ„¢, a patented technology that treats hearing loss due to noise exposure, was first developed by the United States Navy and then, through a federal technology transfer (TT) deal, commercialized by American BioHealth Group, a San Diego for-profit company. The collaboration is a rare one: Assistive Technology is not often born out of federal TT.
