About NCTI

The National Center for Technology Innovation (NCTI), funded by the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), advances learning opportunities for individuals with disabilities by fostering technology innovation. We seek to broaden and enrich the field by providing resources and promoting partnerships for the development of tools and applications by developers, manufacturers, producers, publishers and researchers.

NCTI staff is committed to identifying up-to-date information on and resources for technology innovation and transfer, as well as helping you to collaborate and work with strategic partners and colleagues across the country. Each staff member brings a unique background and set of skills to the center.

NCTI seeks to broaden and enrich the field through the following objectives:

  • To cultivate a
    collaborative network.
  • To promote innovative
    technology-related products that reach the marketplace.
  • To analyze needs, issues, trends, and promising technology innovation and transfer approaches.

NCTI advances learning opportunities for individuals with disabilities through the following services:

  • Partnership opportunities searches to help researchers, vendors, and developers identify strategic partners who can help them bring innovative technology products to market.
  • Web and database content searches for up-to-date information on public and private funding opportunities, legal issues, federally funded technology innovation projects, and NCTI or outside publications written on topics of interest.
